' TARIFF ON WOOL. Washington, January 28. The Ways and Means Committee of the House of Representatives are considering the wool tariff. Manufacturers are fighting hard against deductions in the duties. The committee has indicated its intension of persevering in securing a lower tariff on the lines of the Democratic Bills offered to Congress last session, AUSTRALIAN MUTTON. Berlin, January 28. The Mayor of Wilmersdorf banquetted a hundred mayors and councillors of Greater Berlin to enable them to taste Australian mutton.
