TARANAKI BOWLING TOURNAMENT.

OPENING DAY. The fifth annual tournament of the Taranaki Bowling Association opened yesterday at New Plymouth in showery weather. The visitors, who swell the number of players competing to 144, were formally welcomed by the Mayor Mr G. W. Browne), and by the President of the Town Club (Mr A. Gold water).
