The Kersey Boilermakers’ Society is opposing the new oxy-acetylene appliance for cutting plates as dispossessing hand labour and insist on the employment of fifty men for the first two machines and fifty men for every additional machine. THE LABOUR PARTY’S EXECUTIVE. London, January 27. The annual report of the Labour Party’s executive gives the membership at 1,880,000, an increase for the year of 311,309. The income was £7310 and the expenditure £10,302, including £6OOO invested in a labour newspaper.
