In the Kembla Welter, Coolaburraqundy and Fedburgh ran a dead heat.

Trentham, January 23

Beautiful weather favoured the second day of the Wellington 'facing Club’s meeting. There was a fair attendance before lunch. The course was in excellent order. Results:—

Mungaroa Welter. —Big Blast 1, Distinction 2, Mediterranean 3. All started. Won by a length and a half. Time, Irain 29 3-ssec. January Welter —Nukuatu 1, Merry Frank 2, Rock Ferry 3. All started. Won by a length and a half, a length between second and third. Time, Imin 40 4-ssec.

Wellington Stakes.—Mowbray 1, Salzburg 2, Styx 3. Scratched: Bon Reve, Adelecia, Nightwatch, Trooper, Snowraker, Marfux. Won by half a head, two lengths between second and third. Time, Imin 0 4-ssec.

Racing Club Handicap.— Coroniform 1, Master Laddo 2, Dearest 3. All started. Won by a head, a head between second and third. Time, 2min 8 4-ssec.
