THE TRUMPER BENEFIT. (Received 9.40 a.m.) Sydney, January 22. The Trumpet benefit match will be New South Wales v. The Rest of Australia.

Wellington, January 22

The match was resumed to-day in fine weather on a faster wicket. The attendance was small. Scores: Wellington, second innings: McGill, b Kenny, 0; Warne, b Scott, 6; Harris, not out, 8; Blamires, not cut 32. Extras 7. Total for two wickets 53. At lunch time the score was; —Harris, %t. Deas, b Oilier, 9; Blamires, C Deas, b Gillor, 37; extras 9. Total 61 for four wickets, which had taken 80 minutes to compile, the batting being painfully slow. Blamires gave no chances and was cleverly taken at the wickets.
