WHITE SLAVERY.
SENTENCES UNDER THE ACT, (Received 9.10 a.m.) London, January 19.
Timothy Patrick O’Connor has been sentenced at the Old Bailey, to eighteen months’ imprisonment, and thirty strokes of “the cat” for forcing his wife to an immoral life. Frederick Austin, jx musician, was also charged under the White Slavery Act, and sentenced to twelve months’ imprisonment and twenty-four strokes of “the cat.”
