FATAL GUN ACCIDENT

Timaru, January 17
At Winchester this evening two boys, Eric Wilks (aged nine) and Ins cousin (aged eight) were playing in a bedroom. The younger picked up a gun, which was loaded, and discharged it, the charge entering Wilks’ back. He died almost immediately.
