THE COLLIERY STRIKE. Sydney, January 16. A meeting of the Northern Colliery Proprietors agreed to Mr Carmichael’s suggestion to place before him their views on the points of difference he* tween them and the Colliery Employees’ Federation. The decision is regarded as a hopeful augury of a settlement of the trouble.

RABBIT TRAPPERS’ STRIKE

The rabbit trappers have accepted the price offered for large rabbits, pending a conference, but will not deal in the lower grade of rabbita.
