The wool sales were continued, and there was keen competition by Engglish and Continental buyers. Finehaired wools full opening rates, crossbreds firm, unchanged

Last Saturday I held my usual weekly sale, .with a very 1 good attendance of buyers 1 . I quote as follows: Hens, Is 3d to 2s, chicks 6d to Is. cockerels 9d to Is 3d, roosters Is 3d to 2s, duck® Is fid to 2s 3d, geese 3s fid' each; potatoes, 251 b bags, 2s 9d to 3s; rhubarb 6d to 9d per bundle; carrots 4d per bundle; apples 3s 6d to 4s fid per case; plums 3s to 3s fid, peaches and pears 4s to 4s fid. Furniture, etc., at usual auction rates.
