The Government Meteorologist (Rev. D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows:
The indications are for variable.and moderate breezes, but southerly strong to gale prevailing, and veering by south to east. Expect warm and humid conditions. B; rometer little movement, but falling after 36 hours.
