AN ULTRA-FISH STORY.
Four brothers named Odium, who, while fishing, generally put out a shark line for “emergencies,” had an unusual experience on Sunday evening about 6 o’clock. A man-eater snapped at the bait, and, eo it ie averred, drew the 16ft skiff, in which the brothers were, with lightning speed from Longnose Point to Greenwich Point. The shark was then pulled ashore. Of the whaler species, he measured 9ft. 7in long, and had a very large girth. For a little while he contrived to be vicious. When opened up the shark’s stomach was found to contain, among other things, three kittens and largo beef bones.
