FIRE.
On Saturday night a house in Patea, the property of Mr James Wright, of Eltham, was totally destroyed by lire. At the time of the outbreak (says the Press), the premises were unoccupied, Mr Joseph Wilkie (the lessee) being in town and Mrs Wilkfe and family away. There was no insurance on the furniture, and as practically everything was destroyed, Mr Wilkie’s io?s will he a heavy one.
