Auckland, January 12
In the Final Try the match was fought out between the Grey Lynn and Palmerston teams, skipped respectively by G. Baildon and Nash. The game was very one-sided, Grey Lynn winning by 28 to 9. The Consolation Match wes decided between Walker (Ponsonby) and Ballantyne (Wellington). The contest was very even, Ponsonby winning by one point, on the last head.
