THE INSURANCE ACT.
THE COUNTRY PANELS
(By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association.)
London, January 12,
It is officially stated that the insurance panels have been formed in every country and borough in Great Britain. They comprise upwards of fifteen thousand doctors.
A MEDICAL AID ASSOCIATION
London, January 11
A hundred thousand colliers in Scotland are arranging for a free choice of doctors at 2d weekly, including drugs.
Owing to the withdrawal of the doctors in Derbyshire panels, ten thousand people are affected. The clubs are therefore inaugurating a medical aid association and asking permission to choose local doctors. In some places which are panelless the doctors have consented to attend those insured until a scheme is arranged. In many districts provisional arrangements have been made for three months.
