An important stop by, the iioinan Catholic laity of New Zealand is approaching completion, and has assumed definite shape in Wellington, in the formation of a New Zealand Catholic Federation. According to the draft constitution, the objects of the Federation are (a) the expression of consolidated Catholic opinion on social and public questions affecting' the Catholic interests, (b) the promotion and extension of. Catholic education, (c) the dissenination of Catholic literature, (d) and the mutual support and advancement ol Catholic societies.
