Tiie Xew Zealand Loan and Mer cantile Agency Company, Ltd., hav« received the following cablegram fron their London house under date, 2m January :—Tallow : “Spot market un changed.” (Received 9.2 b a.in.) London, January b. Rabbits.—The market is very firm owing to the momentarily small sup ply in the shops; ordinary, North Is land, four and three-quarters. Lamb. Canterbury, liaht, five am seven eighths: medium, five and three quarters. Reef. —Fores, three and one-eighth ; hinds, three and a quar ter. Australian sheep, light, four and onsixteenth ; ewes, four pence. Reef.— Fores, three pence; hinds, three and five-eights. South American sheep heavv, four and three-eighths. Poof.—Frozen fores, three pencehinds, three and eleven-sixteenths chilled, fores, three and a quarter; hinds, four pence. All other meat; not offering.
