CRUSHED BY MACHINERY

(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, January 4

James Robertson, married, a resident of Boaley Street, was killed at the Gas Works early this morning. The men were changing shifts, and during the spell Robertson was making minor repairs to the elevator. The machinery was re-started, and .Robertson was caught in the gearing and crushed.
