HIGH. COMMISSIONER’S.REPCEi. (Per Press Association.) 1 •Wellington, December 30. The High Commissioner, cabling from London under date December 28th, states:— . ' ' The general markets are quiet, and very little business has been done on account of Die holidays.- ■ Meat .prices are nominally unchanged.' New Zealand and Australian butters aro about 2s lower, but 'better trade may be., expected during the next week. Danish, Siberian, and Argentine are unchanged. Cheese. —The average price for the week for finest New Zealand cheese was: white 61s 6d, coloured, 625.. Hemp.—January-March shipment of New Zealand good fair (nominally), £33 10s; fair grade, £32. The Manila market is firmer. Fair current Manila-on spot. £33,105, distant £35. The output from Manila for the week was 2800 bales.
