Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows: The indications are for variable and moderate to strong northerly breezes prevailing, and. f-'s’ eriim- Extv'pt warm and dull sultry weather, with much mist and fog in narts. Imreasing haze and cloudiness. Barometer has a falling tendency, and fall alter hours.
