(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, December 26. The first day of the naval and military tournament attracted large crowds to Addington Show Grounds and to King Edward Barracks this evening. Rifle Exercise.—Eleventh Taranaki “Regiment G Company 1, 9th /Wellington East Coast C Company 2, 11th Taranaki Regiment A Company 3. Lemon Cutting.—Sergeant Corner (Nelson) 1, Sgt. Perim (North Auckland) 2, Sgt.-Major Lacer (12th Australian Light Horse) 3. Jumping Competition (Officers). — Lieut. J. D. McArthur (Southland) 1, Lieut. W. T. Joll 2.
