ACTOR RIGNOLD’S FUNERAL. (Received JO.O a.m.) Sydney, December 19. There was a great gathering at R gnold’s (the actor’s) funeral. The cortege was an impressive public tribute.

Melbourne, December 19
At the annual meeting of the National Mutual Life Association, the Chairman referred to the satisfactory results of the year’s transactions, which showed new business amounting to £3,593,000, wind; vas a record ; the income was £1,784,000 more than in the previous year; over £520,000 was paid to policy-holders; £589,000 was added to the funds; and the rate of interest earned was £4 14s 4d per cent. The report was adopted, and the retiring directors re-elected.
