At the annual meeting of the National Mutual Life Association, the Chairman referred to the satisfactory results of the year’s transactions, which showed new business amounting to £3,593,000, wind; vas a record ; the income was £1,784,000 more than in the previous year; over £520,000 was paid to policy-holders; £589,000 was added to the funds; and the rate of interest earned was £4 14s 4d per cent. The report was adopted, and the retiring directors re-elected.
