London, December IG. One hundred of the principal trades unions of the United Kingdom, whose membership i n 1911 was 1,816,500, income? £2,956,700 and expenditure £2,502,000, disbursed £22,946,000 during the past ten years in strike pay for unemployment and sick benefits.
London, December 16. The Teheran .Government has expressed grief at* the death of Captain tEckford, and promised adequate reparation. [The British Government demanded reparation for the murder of Captain .Eekford, who was killed at Shiraz, during a shooting expedition, by tribesmen.]
