THE LIGHTHOUSE COLLISION. Adelaide, December 16. In connection with the Wonga Shoal lighthouse accident, the Court suspended Jones’s certificate for one year, but granted him a chief officer’s certificate for that period. A cablegram from Adelaide dated November 18 said that the steamer Dimsdale, from Bahia (Brazi), collided with the lighthouse on the Wonga Shoals. The structure fell with a crash and disapepared in the water. Two lighthouse keepers perished. The vessel was undamaged. The loss is estimated. at £20,000.
