AMUSEMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE An excellent bill-of-fare was provided at His Majesty’s Theatre last night, and patrons were generous in the appreciation of everything above the average. “The Insurgent Senator” is a very powerful drama, and is remarkable alike for the magnificence of the acting and the dramatic qualities of the story. Political graft on an American scale is an intensely interesting subject, and the film released last night was closely watched by the large audience, and every inch of it was well appreciated. “A Trip to Bermuda” is certainly a unique film. Magnificent scenery is shown, and at the same time a little group of American actors, introducing half-a-dozen love affairs, adds to the enjoyment of a delightful picture. “Palace of Versailles,” and “Constantinople” are both true scenics of the best quality, some scenes in the former being remarkably beautiful. “With the ,Enemy’s Help” features the charming little biograph actress, Miss Dorothy Nicholson, in quite a new role, and as Faro Kate she is a great success. The story centres round the staking of a claim, and is as bright and refreshing as these little YvYstern dramas always are. The “Bank President's Son” includes a horse race on a snow field, and the detection of an embezzler is the main theme in a good story. Several comics ai'e screened, and of these “Zigoto’s New Motor Boat” scored a great hit.
