STRATFORD RACING CLUB.

(To tho Editor “Evening Post.”) Sir, —It was with great pleasure I read in your valuable paper the letters by “Ten Shimliings” and “One of Many.” Now, Sir, I want to know why it is that the Stratford Racing Club is catering for the big speculator and simply ignoring the poor man, who would like to have 10s on a horse, whereas £1 would be a big bet for ters by “Ten Shillings” and “One of there was a terrible lot of grumbling last year. It is to be hoped that the same thing will not be the case this meeting.

The Stratford Racing Club have a fine course and splendid buildings, and it would he a great pity to spoil the meeting by not installing a 10s machine, and thus giving everyone a chance of thoroughly enjoying themselves. It has been said that racing is the “King of Sports,” but judging by the way the Stratford Racing Club evidently intend to do things, it will have to bo called the “Sports for Kings,” as the small speculator is not wanted. Now, Sir, thanking you for encroaching on your valuable space, and trusting that the Racing Club will see their way clear to give the small one a chance. T—l am, etc., A LITTLE MITEk Stratford, December 16, 1912.
