(Received 8.10 a.m.) Loudon, December 15. The National insurance Practitioners’ Association has been inaugurated. Speakers strongly dissented from the attitude of the Medical Association, and alleged pressure, amounting to terrorism, was being exercised on members favourable to the Act. (Received 9.0 a.m.J Berlin, December 15. The owners of the steamer America pay the British Admiralty 95 per cent, for the loss of the submarine 82, which was sunk by the steamer off Dover on October 4th. The owners also meet tho claims of tho relatives of the crow. Copenhagen, December 15. The Lower House have carried an amendment to the Constitution, granting votes to women over 25 possessing certain property qualifications. Tho Bill’s face in the Upper House is uncertain. (Received 9.40 a.m.) Hobart, December 16. The Aurora has arrived from her cruise. She visited tiie Macquarie Islands on November 22nd. The Mawson Expedition were then reported all well. Captain Davis confirms the discovery of land connection between Tasmania and Antarctica. He sails for Antarctica on the 28th, and expected to return in April next.
