STRATFORD V. FITZROY
The Fitzroy bowlers, who sent seven rinks to Stratford yesterday, found the local green very keen, several of the players stating that it was quite the keenest green they had struck this season. The Weather could not have been better and the sport was therefore of the very best. Twenty-one heads were played, Stratford winning on the total by 106 points to 89. The banner contest was decided by the three best rinks on each side, and in this the home team led by nine points. Eesults (Stratford players' mentioned first;— I Porritt. New Plymouth heat Waitara at Waitara by 196 to 104 points on the grand total, and by 109 to 64 for the banner.
