TITANIC LEGATEES.
A FINE WINDFALL
(Received 10.15 a-.mTT ~ Melbourne, December 7. Advices received state that_Montgomery Smart, a passenger who was drowned in the Titanic, had bequeathed the whole of his estate to Mr. Twomey, editor of the ‘Farmer and Graziers’ newspaper!! and Mrs Browne of Sydney. Mr. Smart was formerly ;\ cook iii a storage 1 nsiuess in Sydney, and Mr. Twomey and Mrs. Brown assisted him. Before returning to America, in 1H97, ho made bis will in their favour, and subsequently became president of the Cold Storage Shipping Company, and was a large stockholder in several other big concerns. His stock in cold storage is valued at £16,000, and bis shares in other companies represent a considerable amount.
