THE SUFFRAGETTES.

Sir John Simon, Liberal M.P. for Essex, S.W., speaking at a suffragette meeting in London, said the Premier promised he would not oppose an amendment to the franchise if it was approved by a deliberate decision of the House of’ Commons. If the Bill was thus amended, it will become a Government measure.
