TIMARU SESSIONS

(Per Press Association.) Timaru, December 4. The criminal sessions of the Supreme Court were completed to-day. dames Ellen was sentenced to six years’ imprisonment for rape. In a civil case, claim £2OO for breach of agreement, .plaintiff, a blacksmith at Hinds, bought out defendants, a competitor, and the latter agreed not to start in business again, nor sell or lease the shop. Defendant did let the shop to another blacksmith, whereby plaintiff’s trade was injured. His Honour gave judgment for £6O.
