ALLEGATIONS BEFORE THE BOARD OF TRADE.

In the House of Commons, Mr Dennis, Unionist member for Oldham, asked Mr Buxton whether his attention had been called to the distribution of frozen meat. He alleged it was covered witli very thin canvas and sacking, and put on filthy floors in waggons. He said it lay for hours on cue platforms of stations, where dogs roamed, and he asked whether legislation ought not to lie introduced requiring meat to be carried only in special vans, that it bo suspended from hooks and not allowed to touch tne ground. Mr Buxton said the Board of Trade had not heard of these matters, and he promised that enquiries should be matte.
