FELL DING F ACES. (Per Press Association.) Foilding, December 2. For the secoAd day of the Fcilding races the weather was dull hut line. The track was heavy. .Results:— York Stakes.—Labour Day 1, Lady Volgar 2, Crown Pearl 3. AH started. Won by a short head, after a splendid finish. Time, linin 19 4,-oscc. Nikan Hack Handicap.—‘Semaphore 1, Suratura 2, Eocene 3. Scratched: Otter. Eocene led into the straight, when Semaphore came away. Won by a good two lengths. Time, Imin 20 3-5 sec. . Manchester Handicap.—Obhgant 1, Ceylon 2, Mondip 3. Scratched: Mira, Odessa, Labour Day, Master Laddo. Patriotic led to half mile, when oWigan t took charge, and won by two and a half lengths. Time, 2min .16 2-5 secs.
THE KING NOT RETIRING. (Received 8.45, a.rn.) London, December 1. Sir John Thursby, at the Gimcrack Club, definitely denied that the King is retiring from the turf. The King also informed Lord Derby that he intended to participate in tiie sport as far as his duty engagements permitted.
