Three scullers are anxious to row Feared— viz., Charles, Towns, and Lei ton, They maintain that Peaice ha-> no right to go to England while there is a mini here willing to row, and unless ho proves the best in Australia when he leaves, Towns and Felton will row for £2OO on January 25. Felton and Pad-don will row for £2OO on Lebruaryv!s. Jt is agred that if Peaice forfeits his championship to Felton, who claims a prior right to race, the Towns-Felton contest will be for the Australian championship. If Helton is champion when ho meets Paddon, the title will go with the race.
BOWLING. (Received 9.15 a.m.) Sydney, December 2. The Australian Bonding Council intends to make an effort to fulfil a longstanding promise to send a team to New Zealand during the present season. The ‘Heraid’' Ternarks■ that bowling, probably, reaches a higher plane of” excellence in New Zealand than anywhere else in the world. SWIMMING. Riddington, Solomons, and Hay, who were invited by the New Zealand Swimming Association to visit Now Zealand, were passengers by the Maunganui. ;
