Reports received by the State Department announce that during a fight in the streets at Managra, in Nicaragua, an Englishman and two soldiers were killed. Tne Government is investigating. London, November 28. Judge .Darling granted Madiuno Steinheil an injunction against Adam the author, and Werner Lawrie, the publisher of a book “Woman and Crime,” wherein the famous trial is described. Defendants agreed to withdraw the reflection and compensate Madame Steinheil. Washington, November 28. Reports received by the State Department from Manila state that a terrific typhoon in tho islands of Samar Leyte, and North Pa nay, wrecked two towns and there was a heavy death roll. Two steamers were wrecked in Tactoban Harbour. New York, November 28. At Daly City, California, Ritchie defeated' Wolgast, winning light-weight honours. Tho fight went for sixteen rounds, Wolgast steadily losing.
