THE STUDEBAKER CARS.

“E.M.F.” AND “FLANDERS.”

“I have every confidence in submitting these cars to the public, because I have had one in regular u.-e for twelve months, and I know it to be a real first-class, solid, well-buiiif car.” In these words Air. A. \V. Reid, who is an acknowledged expert in such matters, describes the Stuclcbaker specialities—the E.M.F. and motor cars. Both American cars, and the product of a firm whoso names is a household word in America, standing for reliability and excellence, they art •built for rough roads, such as are ic be found in this district, and Mr. Reid confidently asserts that there is nothing on .the market to equal them at the price. Bead what the Mount Cook Motor’ Car Company says ot them: “We have lately completely overhauled our 1 E.M.F. car, after last reason’s work, which consisted of running SiOC' miles over the route of the Crawl Motor Tour, most of the mileage being at the Queenstown cud, and nvor the Crown Range, which, as, you know, is a heavy test for any car, especially doing our work with the large amount of luggage, parcels, etc., we have to carry. She came to pieces in great or-der-far better than we expected. It \yas merely a case of cleaning and putting her together again; no renewals were required. Wo shall be runaing excursion fares for next November tc Hermitage and Queenstown,. and hhir will bring a rush of traffic. Wo are putting the E.M.F. into the thick ot it over the hardest part of the road. This will give you an idea of v. hat wt think .of her showing, and that we think she is as capable of hard work as any other car we .have.” This car, yhich is an E.M.F., 30 lip.., retails locally at £37-5, complete. The Studehaker Flanders 20 h.p. retails at £2do. Mr. Reid w;ill have a Flanders car on exhibition at the A. and P. Show this week, and will he plehsed to answci any questions concerning these in; iors for which ho is the local agent.
