ST. ANDREW’S CHURCH.
At a mooting of the congregation held last Friday, a unanimous and hearty call was given to the Rev. J. Pattison to become pastor of t.'ie church. During tbo past two years, Mr Patt son, who has special gilts in this direction, has been preaching asthe Assembly’s evangelist, in various Presby torys with much acceptance. Formerly, ho was minister of the charge at Waipukaurau and Akaroa respectively for many years, and he was highly esteemed and beloved by tne people. ilr Pattison is in the prime of life, and the congregation of St. Andrews will indeed be fortunate in securing him as its minister, i.e., il the call is sustained by the Presbytery, and he agrees to accept it. Hie call and concurrence will be at Dir Spence’s shop, Broadway, during ties week to icceivo further signatures by members and adherents.
