At the Court to-day William Koliner (for removing soil without authority), was fined 10s and costs 9s; A. H. Trotter, for driving a vehicle across a footpath, was merely convicted, but George Bianchi, and William Holmes, for a similar offence, were fined 5t each, and costs 7s in the former case: Fred Loesch was fined 5s and 7s costs for driving a motor without lights. At the Magistrate’s Court this morning, before Mr. Kenrick, S.M., judgment by default was entered it the following cases:—McMillan and Frcdric (Mr. Fookes) v. A. Cameron, claim for 4s, and costs ss; Wilson, Drake and Co. (Mr. Duff) v. Sydney Lane, claim £2 19s 7d, and costs IQs; Official Assignee (Mr. Stanford) v. James Mouat, claim £1 10s, and costs ss; same v. Frank Connell, claim 15s, and costs 11s; C. K. Gooding (Mr. Stanford) v. A. Williamson, costs only, 12s; J. A. Stanford v. Frank Far rell, claim £lO Ills Id, and costs £1 3s; same v. Roy Hill, claim £9 15; y d and costs 13s; same v. A. J. Hill, claim £23 18s 3d, and costs £1 8s; same v. A. Williamson, claim t 9 4s IQd, and costs 10s; A. Ferguson (Mr. Fookes) v. A. J. Hill, claim £0 15s, and costs £1 8s 6d; C. Diamond (Mr. Stanford) v. H. Burrows, claim £3. and costs 16s; G. A. Bales (Mr.'Thomson) v. James Murray, claim £2 14s (id, and costs 10s. Arthur Barry was ordered to pay Mullen and Marshall £ll 19s Id, in default eleven days.
