The Meteorological Society passed a resolution that- a Solar Observatory in Australia or in New Zealand was essential for the elucidation of the connection of solar changes and meteorological conditions of the earth, and the hope was / cxpre«sed that the Commonwealth would accept the opportunity of acqu ring an equipment to initiate work.
