OLD GREECE.
Mr. John Zavitcuanos, a representative of tne Greek National (Society, tne HcJJemsmos, who is touring tne world in tne interests of the organisation, said while in Melbourne tnat tne Society was desirous at securing emancipation from the yoke of the Turn of a large portion oi ancient Grecian territory, and it was largely owing to the activities of the Society that cue war was started. The present Greek ivmgdom, he explained, was only one snuiii corner of tne Greece of old, and it was the object of else Society to unite it to Epirno, Macedonia, Thiaki, Asia Minor, and the Archipelago of the Aegean Sea. His mission is to organise branches of the Society wherever L sufficient number of ins countrymen live, and to raise funds for the conduct of what is regarded as a great national undertaking.
