It is rumoured that the ratepayers south of the river are shortly to hold a meeting to discuss loan matters, the Hinernoa Lodge Room to he the scene of the gathering. The chief hone of contention is Victoria Bridge, the “neglected south” (as some terra their place of residence) being of opinion that the widening of the bridge is necessary and should not lie made a separate issue on the voting papers.
