ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
DEATH FROM A FALL. (Per Press Association.) Napier, November 15. Peter Christiansen, a driver, met with a fatal accident this afternoon at Brookfield, near Meanee. He was driving a dray, when he fell on to the road, breaking his neck. Death was instantaneous. OYER A PRECIPICE. * Greymouth, November 15. This afternoon, while a drover named Gibbons was collecting cattle grazing on a hill at the back of the Omoto quarry, two of the animals broke away from the main body. One leaped over the quarry and landed on the road 150 feet below, landing mne foot’ in front of a trap occupied by Mr Thomas and his wife. The bullock had all his legs broken, and was promptly despatched. EXPIRED AT SCHOOL. To Kuiti, November 15. Osmond Lepage, ten years of age, a subject to epileptic fits, expired at school to-day. Dr. Zobel certified to the death, and no inquest Is necessary.
