The ‘Roichpost’ states that the principal attack on Clujtaldja was delayed two days owing to heavy rain hampering the arrival of heavy artillery, and Actrianople reinforcements. Then fighting began fiercely. A I urkish officer captured during a sortie at Adrianople states that tiie Bulgarian artillery lire was so unbearable that sorties were undertaken to relieve the nervous strain.
THE PUTUMAYO OUTRAGES. (Received VZ.oo p.m.) London, November 14. Sir Roger Casement, giving evidence before tn.e House of commons’ Committee into the Putumayo outrages, said fuo directors were cognisant of the affairs ah Putumayo. Fie declared Arana visited the region to conceal the crimes. Mon wore sent out with rifles to catch Indians, and .those fleeing were shot down. The London office was aware of these criminal methods.
