Tho Government Meteorologist (Rev. D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon ,as follows—
There are indications for westerly strong winds to gale at times, with a southerly tendency. Expect change-' able and showery weather. Barometer unsteady, but ’ rising temporarily shortly.
