THE HAWKE CUP
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, November 13. Entries for the Hawke Cup cricket competition came from R-rngiukei, South Auckland, Wanganui, Manawatu, Wairarapa, South Canterbury, South Tdranaki, and Marlborough, In the first round Rangitikei meets South Auckland, Wanganui meets Taranaki, Manawatn meets Wairarapa, South Canterbury meets Marlborough. The winner of the Rangitikei match has a bye in the second round. The winner of the South Canterbury match has a bye in the second and third rounds, and beets the winner of the North Island series in the final.

London, November 12. The Northern Union has refused the Australian invitation, owing to the guarantee being and the prolonged correspondence which would be necessary to arrange the details. Wellington, November 13. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union to-night the disqualification imposed upon J. Clark, a South Auckland player, was removed. The disqualification'of a Greymouth player for using bad language to a gatekeeper was endorsed. /
