The Government Meteorologist (Rev. D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows: . The indicatmions are for _ westerly strong winds to gale at times, and veering by west to south. The weather will probably prove squally, with heavy show'ers and cold night. Barometer rising slowly.
