WELLINGTON SESSION

Wellington, November 6. At the Supreme Court to-day, Win. Knox, tailor, was charged with performing an illegal operation. He pleaded not guilty, and was defended by Mr T. W. Wilford (instructed by Messrs Fitzgibbon and Kerry), and with him Mr W. Perry. H. H. Ostler was Crown prosecutor. His Honour, the Chief Justice, ordered the Court to be cleared during the hearing;, and forbade publication of the evidence. The jury failed to agree, and a new trial will take place next Monday,
