Evidence was given of tho discovery, at a house ii: Earl’s Court’ pf a ten-pound note engraving plate, a watermark plate, and a quantity of unissued notes, counterfeit sovereigns and half-sovereigns, with moulds. ,
THE BAKERS’ CONFERENCE. Melbourne, November 1. The Bakers’ Conference discussed tho question of day bread baking, and resolved: “That this convention, comprising master bakers from all parts of the Commonwealth and New Zealand, are of opinion that under the present conditions day labour ’.s impossible.”
