THAT SPEECH OF LORD ROBERTS

(Received 2.0 p.rn.) Loudon, October 29. In the House of Commons Mr Whitehousc asked whether Germany had made representations concerning Lord Roberts’ speech. Sir Edward Grey replied in the negative. He added that he would very much appreciate any suggestion that cither Government should make official representations to the other about unwise/ or provocative speeches made either in Germany or Britain by persons not in a position to control the policy of the respective Governments.
