Mr Horn!man, manager of the Australian athletes at the' Olympic games, has arrived. He is pleased with the record of the team. Thfl* Australian oarsmen in one hit did what it took our cricketers years to . accomplish. “Only world’s champions had any hope at the Olympiad, and we should try to send world’s champions.” He. did not consider the idea of an Empire team to he workable, as the component parts did not desire it. Ihe Germans were very systematic and thorough, and would be a serious competitor at the next Olympiad.
