Washington, October 28. Vice-President Sherman’s health is bad and he is likely to. retire} from participation in the Presidential contest. ROOSEVELT’S CAMPAIGN. PROTECTION OF CANDIDATES. (Received 11.15 a.m.) New York, October 29. Mr Roosevelt is planning a final meeting of campaign in Madison Square Gardens. A thousand policemen have been told off to guard him. Precautions are also being taken to guard other candidates.
